Why Mulch?

Lucerne mulch provides an excellent solution to all garden mulch requirements, including water retention, provision of nutrients and trace elements, aeration of soil increases worm activity and root promotion. The mulch is milled to maximise ease of handling and quick application around both small and large plants. While only clean Lucerne hay is used, steam during the process ensures sterilisation of any errant weeds or other undesirable matters.

This mulch is chemically free and environmentally friendly. The carbon-nitrogen ratio of Cumberoona Mulch makes it the number one mulch particularly for rose growers, providing increased flowering and decreased fungal disease.

Our Mulch is made from Lucerne grown on our irrigation property at Hillston or sourced from selected contractors as demand increases. The Lucerne is traditionally steamed to kill impurities then cut and bagged, palletised and sent to some of Australia's largest garden supply retailers or sold to individual households.
